C5000

Using CarboREM’s HTC technology means entering a new dimension of wastewater treatment plants, whether digestate or active sludge by fully exploiting the potential for energy and material recovery

01

Full and integrated system

The C5000 is a plant designed to autonomously manage the entire sludge treatment cycle: a strategic investment for large urban centers.

02

Volume Reduction

Greater dewaterability because hydrochar is hydrophobic compared to standard sludge, which is hydrophilic.

03

Dry Matter Reduction

Part of the solid is converted into the liquid phase in percentages ranging from 30% to 50%.

04

Increase in Biogas Production

Can be greater than 30% depending on the type of anaerobic digester and process conditions.

05

Circular Resource Recovery

Ammonia is continuously recovered, from which ammonium sulfate is produced. Phosphorus is concentrated in the hydrochar and can be easily recovered through a specific treatment module upon Customer request.

Hydrochar Recovery and Conversion

In other applications, both in the packaging cardboard supply chain and in the form of pellets or briquettes, to be used as solid fuel in combustion and/or gasification plants (see UNI 11853 Standard).
